A collection of Cinematics and Showreels

Steadfast Tenacity (2019)

This cinematic was made using Unity's Timeline feature. The process started with a rough story board, followed by asset collection, level design, then scene creation. During and after creation, I received feedback which I used to improve the project through multiple iterations.

My aim for this cinematic was to create something that feels dynamic and pulls the viewer into the action - almost to where they feel like they could be a part of it instead of only being a spectator.

Games Showreel (2016-2019)

I feel that the games that are shown in this showreel best conveys my skill level as well as my improvements from 2016 to 2019 as I gain more experience with asset production and game development.

Cloudtrail Islands Trailer (2019)

Created using Sony Vegas Pro 15. This simple trailer was edited together using live in-game recordings.

The simplicity of the trailer was aimed to showcase the relaxing aspect of the game - which was a core element.

Cloudtrail Islands is my final year game, in which I am the lead artist & animator, and secondary programmer.

My Letter To You (2015)

This video was created through the use of Sony Vegas Pro 12. The entire process from start to finish took around 12 hours, of which, consisted of: clip selection, cutting, editing and re-iterations.

I aimed to elicit emotion in the viewers, especially those who have watched the show. I wanted to tell these character's story in my own way through editing-highlighting their experiences together and the emotions that accompany them.

Despite being an older creation, I believe that I have learnt the most in creating an emotional experience and storytelling with the making of this anime music video, and thus I have been able to transfer my improved skills onto future projects.

Larian Cinematic Test (2019)

This was created in the Unity game engine. Larian had provided me with most of the assets but I also added in extra animations through Mixamo. I created the sound through foley and edited it all together inside Vegas Pro.

Looking back, I feel that I could've improved in a few aspects - such as the framing, cuts but most importantly: camera placement; especially relating to the 180 rule.

On the positives, I feel that I've utilised my limited assets effectively, such as making the animations work together, good pacing and delivering the context without using the narration VO that Larian gave me.
